He made this statement during an enlarged thank-you meeting with his Otibio Ward 13, following his victory and subsequent swearing-in as the chairman of Isoko North Local Government.
"I deem fit and necessary to invite my ward people today to appreciate all of you for always standing by me," he said.
"It was a challenging and tourtous journey, but God saw me through the entire process. I must also thank my brother Chief Kome Okpobor and others who stood by me from the beginning and to the end."
Hon. Ogorugba listed some of his achievements so far, stating that he is committed to further advancing the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, at the grassroots level.
"Some of the projects have been completed and while others are ongoing to enhance and solidify the MORE Agenda of the Governor," he explained.
He declared his total support for the re-election of Governor Rt. Hon. Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, he said
"There is no vacancy in the government house. I have no personal interest in 2027, only that of my boss the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
For us to be taken seriously as an ethnic nationality, we must support him for second term.
The highlight of the event was a vote of confidence passed on the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
